Frequently asked questions
Is drip bag coffee the same as pour over?
Yes, in method. A drip bag brews by dripping hot water through grounds in a paper filter — the definition of pour over. It just comes pre-portioned with a built-in, hang-on-mug filter.
Does pour over taste better than a drip bag?
Only marginally, and mainly because you grind fresh and control the pour. A high-quality, fresh drip bag brewed with the right water tastes very close to a home pour over.
What is the difference between a drip bag and a V60?
A V60 is a reusable dripper you fill with your own freshly ground coffee and filter; a drip bag is a single-use, pre-filled filter that hangs on your mug. Same brewing style, different amount of control and cleanup.
Can a drip bag replace my pour over setup?
For travel and convenience, easily. For home brewing where you want to control grind, dose, and pour, a full pour-over setup still gives you more to work with.
